Reaching Up
As disciples of Jesus, we are learning to pattern our life after his life, including his pattern of worship and prayer. In the Bible, we see Jesus often in prayer and in the habit of worship in the synagogue. Following this pattern we long to see a community deepening its relationship with the Triune God through the spiritual practices of prayer and worship. We are a community gathering regularly in worship: celebration, confession, lament, hearing God’s Word, dedication, prayer, and offerings. We also provide many opportunities for prayer, including a prayer room (upstairs), a prayer group that meets bi-weekly on Wednesdays, as well as occasional prayer retreats.
The Reaching Up Ministry team equips and encourages the congregation to follow the Christian pattern of worship and prayer. This team of pastors, elders and deacons oversee the planning and leading of our worship services. The many members who contribute their skills in musical accompaniment, Audio/Visual expertise, scripture reading, children’s messages, prayer and other creative elements enable all worshipers to voice praise and to hear God’s call for our lives.
After worship everyone is invited to enjoy coffee and juice in the lobby or at our Sanctuary coffee station and spend some time sharing our lives with each other.
